About
I focus on topics of mental health and its connection to sexuality, intimacy, and dependency. I question the structures that form normalcy in terms of sex and gender and reassess the framework of bedroom etiquette. Through the use of outdated image making processes, I fetishize aged photographic and videographic aesthetic because photographic and videographic techniques forever continue to fetishize us. My work creates a bond between past and current processes of image manipulation , mimicking trans historic engravings of the desirable nude. I use artistic movement as an exploration of my own sexuality , as my work is a product of my own sexual struggle. Developing my own black and white and color film, each image becomes intimately my own. By building a camera each time I capture an image or editing tape to tape , I establish an intimate relationship between myself and my work that would cease to exist without the struggle of its creation.
