Sandino David Sanchez

A simple artist. Sandino Sanchez is an animator and character designer. As an artist Sandino seeks to design characters that are a bit out of the norm in animation. He operates on the invented style of “would Disney do it”. A form of making where he asks if a story, if hypothetically pitched to Disney executives, would be produced. As an example if he pitched a story about a gay homeless robot samurai learning to overcome the adversity of alcoholism and the structures in place to keep him and others like him marginalized would Disney make that story and sell it to the world. If not, then that’s where he’s going. For him, art is about going to those weird places that no one else will go to. Even if the idea is crazy. Sometimes crazy is the most honest interpretation of the world.
